Marking the Roll

ATTENDANCE ROLL

Guidelines
The Roll is a legal document therefore you are held legally responsible for the information.
The Roll must be completed twice daily so that all attendances are registered accurately at 9am and after second break.
If you are aware of it, always indicate the reason for any days children do not attend.
Electronic Absenteeism is automatically archived (absent data MUST be kept for 25 years )
Attendance Roll details can be requested for use as evidence in cases at court: Divorce/Custody, Truancy, Injuries etc
Always mark attendances yourself. NEVER allow children to do this
Absences of more than 2 days where the reason for the absence is unknown need to be followed up by the classroom teacher through a call or Class Dojo.
If the absence continues without reason or contact, please report to the Principal/ Deputy.

Roll marking in the Absence of Classroom Teacher
LSO in the classroom/year level can use nforma to mark attendance
If LSO is unable to use nforma, they can mark the roll using the electronic CRT roll located on the Staff Desktop
As an absolute last resort, there are paper copies of the roll in the back of the red CRT folder in each classroom. This can be completed and sent to the office.
Planned leave –long service /extended sick leave (Staff) – CRT will be allocated a log in and the roll will be marked using their logon
