Learning Intention: We are learning to write a procedure to inform our audience.

Teacher video: Watch and listen to the story ‘How to wash a wooly mammoth’ and Miss Mifsud explain your task.

Task

Following the procedure structure, students are to write the steps of how to wash a Wooly mammoth including the following. 

  • Title
  • What you need
  • Steps 
  • Draw pictures to match each step.

Mathematics

Learning Intention: We are learning to follow directions

Warm Up: Using a deck of cards, pick out 2 cards and make the biggest number. Eg. 23 or 32.

What you need: the map of your house that you drew yesterday.

Teacher video: watch the teacher using the map they drew yesterday to give directions as they walk through their house., (vocab, eg. turn, slide, left, right, translate, above)

Task:

Left, Right, Turn, Half turn, Straight, Up, Down

Can you write your own directions including how many steps you take and which way you turn?

Record yourself and write down your directions 

  1. Front Door to your room
  2. Your Bedroom to the bathroom
  3. Kitchen to the backyard
  4. The living room (tv) to your bedroom
