What to Bring to Camp?

WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP
Please note the following information regarding luggage for Camp:

Bags must be soft-sided, Sausage Bag type NO SUITCASES OR HARD FRAMED BACKPACKS
Maximum weight 12kgs
(If you can’t lift it, no-one should)

Sleeping Bag to be kept Separate – (Not tied to bag)
All items to be clearly marked with the student’s NAME & SCHOOL

The camp has recommended to keep these general considerations in mind when organising your child’s camp list:

Clothing taken on outdoor or adventure programs should allow participants to be comfortable and protected in a range of conditions, regardless of the season. Clothing that is quick drying and resistant to damage is ideal. Clothing should fit the person well. Practicality is the emphasis rather than how fashionable clothes are! Unsuitable or ill-fitted clothing can impair student participation and may be hazardous.

Clothing (Please label all clothing)

  • 1-2 pairs of shorts
  • 3-4 T-shirts – long and short sleeve
  • 3 pairs long pants
  • 2 warm jumpers/windcheaters/hoodies
  • 2 pairs of runners / shoes / boots suitable for above activities
  • 1 pair of thongs
  • 1 sunsmart hat (school hat is fine)
  • 1 pair of pyjamas
  • 5-6 pairs of warm socks for each day and to change from if they get wet or dirty during activities
  • 5-6  sets of underwear for each day  and to change from if they get wet or dirty during activities
  • 1 weatherproof rain jacket
  • 1 winter jacket
  • 1 scarf
  • 1 warm beanie
  • nb: Extra layers of warm clothing and jacket, scarf & beanie will be required for Penguin Parade

Sleeping

  • Sleeping bag or sheets (single bed)
  • Pillow case
  • Own pillow (optional)

Personal Equipment (Optional)

  • Torch
  • Camera (disposable)
  • Sunglasses
Toiletries 

    • Soap
    • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Shampoo and/or Conditioner (small quantities)
  • Roll on deodorant
  • Towel & face washer
  • Hairbrush and/or comb
  • Insect repellent (roll on only – sprays not allowed)
  • Sunscreen

Banned Items

Please support us in ensuring the following are not brought to camp:-

  • mobile phones
  • iPads and handheld games
  • lollies/sweets/chewing gum
  • glass drink containers
