MemberWell for starters she keeps talking about time and when it will be right and talking in lots of different languages. She also knows Megs name when Meg has never even met her before but then again in a way maybe Mrs Whatsit could have told her.

MemberI think they thought she was having trouble at school because she got in to a fight and because she is really grumpy all the time.
August 23, 2020 at 9:08 pm in reply to: Why does the school principal, Mr. Jenkins, want Meg to accept that her father is never coming home? Should Meg believe him? Why? Why not? #563stgpadmin
MemberI think Mr Jenkins wants Meg to accept the fact that her dad is ‘never’ coming home because she thinks that he is and Mr Jenkins thinks that it is distracting her from doing her work. I think he is wrong and Meg should still believe that he is coming home.

MemberI think they know because every time she comes home from school she has an angry tone and is always annoyed at something. And normally people that are always annoyed and grumpy get into to trouble.

MemberI think that Mrs who has a secret and she doesn’t want anyone to know. Because I think she wanted them to leave and she didn’t want to answer any questions.

MemberI think that she won’t believe him because maybe she wants to prove him wrong about something. She also doesn’t want to believe him because in the book i’m pretty sure she said in her head ” How would he know? He doesn’t know me that well”

MemberMeg doesn’t believe Mr. Jenkins because believing him would just make her feel very sad and depressed it would affect her life even more than what it is. She also believes her mum because she is a scientist and I wouldn’t blame her. She doesn’t want the opinion of someone else to get in the way of hers and I totally respect that. Never lose hope!

MemberShe says she’s talking about her father and what really makes you know that somethings about to happen is she says “the time is not yet ripe” which is meaning the time is not yet ready but it will eventually be!

MemberI think they think this because they think Meg has a temper and is very annoyed with everything. She always comes home not over the moon and sometimes very moody. Especially when she got into a physical fight with someone for calling Charles things.

MemberI think the twins think that because of her choices and her attitude. How she is not really happy and how she got into a fight.

MemberI think Mrs Who is very odd and quite strange. When she said “the time is not ripe” it seems like she knows something or has a secret. Like as if she knows what will happen next.

Member“If Meg believes him then she will probably lose hope and won’t focus so I hope she sticks to what she believes.
That is a really interesting thought Astrid!August 20, 2020 at 10:25 am in reply to: Why does the school principal, Mr. Jenkins, want Meg to accept that her father is never coming home? Should Meg believe him? Why? Why not? #459stgpadmin
MemberI think the principal wants Meg to accept that her father is not coming back because I think the principal thinks that if she does then she will focus on school and have more of a positive attitude but I think Meg should not believe him because she will just be depressed and still won’t focus on school. The principal does not know for sure if her dad is dead. If Meg believes him then she will probably lose hope and won’t focus so I hope she sticks to what she believes.
