Writing

Warm up:

Task:

  • Using your plan from yesterday’s lesson, you will start writing your holiday recount.
  • Read your plan again to remind yourself of the three highlights you will be writing about.
  • Start writing your recount using the First, Next, After that, Finally structure

  • Checked your capital letters and full stops
  • Re-read your work out loud
  • Does it make sense?
  • Do you words look right?

Maths

Warm up: counting backwards, start at 67 and count to 32

Start at 111 and count backwards to 79, use a 120 chart if you get stuck

Success Criteria: I can design symmetrical patterns and check them in the mirror

Teacher video: watch Miss Scott discovering symmetrical patterns using the 3 x 3 grid, notice how she checks her patterns by folding the paper in half and using the mirror to see the reflection.
