I think Calvin was meant to go on the trip with Meg because he gives her strength and because I feel he is important in the story.
She likes to quote because I think it is easier for her to speak that way and she wants to spread knowledge.
I would feel scared. And I probably would not believe the person who told me. I would also ask questions. I wouldn’t really want to leave earth because you never what could happen. I could be stuck there forever! I could even die! So I would not join.
Calvin is asked to go on the journey maybe because he is important like I mean maybe they need his help or he became their friend so they asked. They seem to trust Calvin. Charles maybe knows that they will need him.
Mrs who likes to quote because its hard for her to talk or explain so she just quotes so it’s easier for her to talk. Like she is using other people’s words but I think it is an effective way to communicate because usually whenever she says a quote the children would need an explanation and I even need an explanation.
I think Ms Who likes to quote because she can’t really understand or talk properly so talking in other words that are not her’s must seem to make her feel better. I don’t think it’s a good way to communicate with the children because they might not understand the ‘riddles’ she’s giving out and even I can’t really get what Ms Who’s saying!
I think Calvin is asked on the journey with Meg and Charles because maybe, who knows they might need him or he’d be an important part of the story! He’s there because he feels he needs to be.
I wouldn’t know how I would feel because I believe that it’s not possible to do that but if in this case I could, I would feel just scared and in disbelief.
In my mind map I wrote what I thought Meg’s thinking throughout what is happening in the book and with the short sentences I wrote, I included some pictures to go with them.
in my mind map I wrote that meg is stubborn and restless I also wrote that she was confused and her mind was cloudy.
I would feel amazed but scared at the same time because we going to a different plant who knows what’s there
