Year 4 Week 6

Lesson 6

Che cosa fai? What are you doing?

In this lesson we are using verbs to describe what we are doing.

Verbs in Italian have many forms just like they have in English.

Here are forms of the verb “run” (correre).

I run-Io corro, I am running-Io sto correndo,   I ran- Io correvo, I will run-Io correro.

Here are some more verbs: Io canto-I sing, Io ballo-I dance, Io mangio-I eat, Io bevo-I drink, Io dormo-I sleep, Io leggo-I read, Io scrivo-I write, Io nuoto-I swim, Io disegno-I draw, Io gioco-I play, Io lavoro-I work.

Write the heading “Cosa Fai?” and draw 5, or more people who are answering this question in Italian. Make sure they are doing what they say! For example, you can draw someone sleeping and saying “Io dormo”.

Ciao ragazzi. Signor Curcio and Pinocchio wish you well. Salute!
