Ciao ragazzi.

Today’ s lesson is learning to describe natural disasters  in Italian. Italy experiences many disasters because of its mountainous and volcanic conditions.  We are going to create a news report stating the natural disasters below. Write them down and draw a picture for each.

1.  Un terremoto distrugge il Colosseo  ! ( An earthquake destroys the Colosseum .)

2. Una tempesta inonda La piazza di san Marco a Venezia!  ( A storm floods Saint Mark’s Square in Venice !)

3.  Etna esplode e bruccia tante case! ( Etna erupts and burns many homes!)

4. Una valanga sul Monte Bianco ferisci tanti turisti ! ( An avalanche on Monte Bianco injures many tourists!)

Can you  add another disaster  headline? How about one where a tsunami (Uno tsunami) floods many towns

( inonda tanti paesi) in Naples?
