Hi Students,
I hope you’ve been staying active! 🙂
Did you have a go at last week’s fitness exercises? Don’t forget that you can share with your family and try them out together.
Keeping active throughout these times at home is extremely important, especially with so many after school activities cancelled. You need to get off that couch! 🙂
So, here is what we would like you to do this week. Remember, you should be aiming to be physically active for at least 60 minutes every day.
Select a sport you enjoy participating in:_____________________________________
- Create a circuit with a minimum of 6 stations. The circuit must include exercises that you think will help improve your fitness for the sport you have chosen.
- Identify the fitness component each exercise will be developing. Whether it’s your cardiorespiratory stamina, muscular strength, muscular stamina, flexibility, speed and agility.
- Teach your circuit to at least one family member. Put on your favourite music and enjoy participating in the circuit with your family member/s. Complete the circuit 3 times.
- Ask a family member to write a short reflection.
Exercise | Fitness Component | Duration/Repetitions | Rest |
Example: Run to a footy on the floor 10m away, pick-up and handball to a family member | Speed, cardiorespiratory stamina, muscular stamina | 10 reps | 15 sec |
