Structure of the day…
School Hours
8:30: School Office opens
8.40: School gates open and teachers are on duty in their learning studio as well teachers on duty outside. Students move to their learning studios and put their bags away and then go outside to play
8.50: Music begins to play. All children should line up in front of their learning studios ready to walk in with the teachers. Parents are asked to leave the school grounds when music begins
9am: Bell rings for the beginning of the school day. Gates are locked at this time. After this time entry and exit is only permitted through the school office.
3.30: Students are dismissed and meet parents outside the learning studios or designated meeting area. Prep students should be collected from outside the Prep building. The yard is supervised until 3:40pm after which the gates will be locked.
4:00: School Office Closes
If your child is unable to attend school it is the parent’s responsibility to contact the school and provide us with an explanation for their absence. This can be done by selecting the ‘Absentee’ icon on Skool Loop.
Parents should inform the school in advance of any planned absence to gain approval from their classroom teacher and the Principal. Sufficient notification must be given where the absence is anticipated for greater than 2 weeks. This can be done by completing an ‘Extended Leave’ form through the parent community website or Skool Loop (located under Notices, 1. School Forms then scroll to Extended Leave Form.)
Note: Long periods of absence are strongly discouraged as children will miss
essential curriculum.
Parents are expected to plan family holidays during school
holiday periods wherever possible.
