Warm up:

  1. Roll a dice twice
  2. Add them together

Teacher video: watch Miss Mifsud drawing a map from birds eye, listen to the questions s/he is asking herself to make sure her map is accurate

Task

  • draw a detailed map of your home. If someone was to come over would they be able to locate every room in your house. 
  • Make sure it’s big and detailed so we can follow it easily.
  • Think about: how could I make sure my lines are straight?
  • How could I make sure the shapes of my rooms are correct?
  • How can I draw my house like I am flying above it.

The rooms in your house may include:

Challenge:

can you give your map to your family and have them check it over.
