Warm up: Using a deck of cards, pick out 2 cards and represent that number by drawing them in bundles and singles.

 Task:

You are given 5 bags with Skittles and you do not know what colours are in it until you open it.

There are 10 skittles in each bag and the colours are red, yellow, purple and orange.

 

Make 1 bag (modelling/representing) . . . . 

  • Where it would be certain to pull out a yellow.
  • Where it would be impossible to pull out red.
  • Where it would be less likely to pull out a green.
  • Where it would be most likely to pull out a purple.
  • Where it would be equally likely to pull out an orange and a purple.

 

Challenge
