As with last week’s lesson we are going to be looking at creating a beautiful Mayflower ship to coincide with students’ inquiry topic “The First Fleet”.
Before commencing the art session with your child, find out what it is they already know about the First Fleet?
When did this event take place?
Why is it important in terms of Australian history?
Name some of the famous people from the First Fleet?
How has it helped shape Australia’s history today?
Today we are going to look at sketching a Mayflower ship!

For this activity you will need the following materials listed below:
- Brown craft paper
- Black marker fine tip
- Coloured pencils.
