Week 3 Year 5 Visual Arts Activities
Visual Arts Sketch Book
As previously mentioned in my blog Mr Sheedy and myself are organising sketch books for each of the students to use during art sessions. Please encourage your son or daughter to use it and to draw, sketch or design any of the images they see or enjoy creating at home, inside, outside in the backyard at the local park etc. I look forward to seeing these pictures please share them with me via email or a google doc if you can.
As children are learning about Geography for their inquiry unit, I thought it would be appropriate for them to continue to learn, create and discover the world around them through Visual Art sessions.
For this art session I would like students to copy or draw a map of Australia. Highlight, colour and label each state and capital city. Students will be required to conduct their own research to identify the borders and capital cities of each state. Once complete please mount on the back of a coloured piece of cardboard and share with me. This will be a helpful resource for you to keep for future reference,
