Next week we will be transitioning to video conversations with the children through Google Meets. This is exciting for us as we are able to have face to face conversations with our students and it is a great chance for them to interact with their peers. If you can’t make the allocated time and date please be assured that students, dates and times will rotate during the reminder of the home learning situation.

Dependent on the device your child is using at home, down below are the steps required to be ready to join a Google Meet.

iPads for Families/students using iPads
Download the GOOGLE meet app from the app store if you don’t already have it installed
Open the app
Enter the meeting name
Click on join the meeting.

Personal Desktop/Laptop Computer
Open a Google Chrome browser window
Type in the address bar https://meet.google.com/
Enter the meeting name
Click on join the meeting.

CHROMEBOOKS for students
Log into your Chromebook
Click on your SGP Student bookmarks folder located in the left hand corner of the window
Scroll down until you find the GOOGLE meet link
Click on the GOOGLE meet link
Enter the meeting name
Click on join the meeting

Android/iPhone
Download the GOOGLE meet app from the app store or the play store if you don’t already have it installed.
Open the app
Enter the meeting name
Click on join the meeting
